I believe the friendships we form and relationships we nurture are the most important things we’ll do in our lifetimes.
One of the unexpected bonuses of running a photography business has been making new relationships with the people I have met. Some have been coming back once a year, or more, since I started taking clients in 2005. Others are new and I enjoy meeting them and look forward to seeing them again. Still others have sessions yet to come and sometimes the excitement in their voice is palpable. The people I photograph are the reason I continue; their belief in the value of what I do means more to me than I’d have ever dreamed possible.

It won’t be long before summer is in full swing. Yesterday certainly felt like summer had arrived and I’ll bet there were more than a few children enjoying the fountains near the Baltimore Inner Harbor. I photographed this family last year on Federal Hill and we ended our time together at the fountains. He wasn’t so sure at first whether or not he liked it. But it didn’t take long to make up his mind.
