Limited Edition Mini Sessions- Saturday October 10
On Saturday October 10, I will be offering a limited number of holiday mini sessions in a park setting. These offer the perfect opportunity to capture a few great shots- whether you would like to capture a shot for use in your holiday cards, document a new milestone, or wrap up those holiday gifts quickly and easily!

Sessions are $125 and include:
-20 minutes to capture the individual child, siblings or a few family shots
-8-12 images in a private online gallery (5 day ordering period)
-Exclusive mini collections and other special offers

Mini sessions are intended to give a feel for the full Barefoot Photography experience, to capture just a few special shots, or for those who have recently had full sessions and just need a little something to tie them over until their next Barefoot session. Due to the shortened nature of these sessions, we will focus on a particular shot – whether that be sibling shots, family shots, individuals of one or two children, etc. If we have time after we have gotten that shot, we may be able to capture others but communication and prioritizing is key as we simply cannot “do it all” as we can during a full session.  If you are wanting a variety of poses/groupings or multiple backgrounds or outfits I do recommend setting up a regular Barefoot Photography session.

Once upon a time, a fairy princess was traipsing through the woods…

It was wonderful meeting you, Princess, and your wonderful family!

this little princess!  She smiled so many times that I even commented while photographing her how unusual that was!  But what sweet shots!

I met this family recently up in Baltimore where we took a stroll through the campus at Johns Hopkins University.  Not only was it great timing with a three year old and twin boys who were around 7 months old and sitting, but it also marks the 10th anniversary for the happy couple, now family.  Mom had a gorgeous photojournalistic shot from her wedding of her and her husband kissing that she wanted to somehow try to replicate, incorporating the whole family this time.  Of course, the kids have their own ideas on how to add their own creative twist to the shot. It’s a little hard to tell, but their daughter is kissing mom on the cheek while dad tries to give her a kiss.  I’m guessing other parents can relate to this phenomenon of children trying to get in on the action!

The kids were great though.  We did a lot of pretend play, and you will be glad to know that the princess did escape detection by the evil witch.   Of course, the boys were none to concerned about being discovered in the first place ;)   Check out their wonderfully coordinated outfits too.  No one “matches” but they certainly go well together! I love how she picked varying patterns and textures, yet there is still unity in the group.  Mom tells me this line is from Baby Gap.

I will be at the Westin in Annapolis on Sunday for Baby 101, put on by Viacord who provides cord blood banking services.  A baby’s cord blood is a valuable source of stem cells that can be used for the baby or an immediate family member to treat nearly 80 different diseases.  Viacord is hosting a free brunch for expectant parents from 11a.m.-2p.m. where they will be speaking about cord blood banking.  They will also have a childbirth educactor present to speak as well.  If that wasn’t enough- there are some great raffle prizes for attendants including baby gift baskets, a 3D/4D gift certificate, and a give-away from Lil Lamb Shop.  Attendance is free, but please call 866-761-4463 to reserve a spot.

I love love LOVE my families.  Yes, my families.  I feel like as I get to see children again, they become just a little bit mine too.   Of course not in a literal sense, I still am happy to let them go home with Mom and Dad and go home to my two boys who sleep through the night and can (usually) articulate their needs.  But I do grow attached to the kiddos- can’t help myself!

So I was very happy to finally get to meet this little guy, since I had photographed his brother on a couple of previous occasions- the most notable being when he ended up on the back cover of The Big Book of Babies for his muscle man pose.

I’m just sharing a few of my favorites from our energetic session together!

I have been photographing these three brothers for a few couple of years now and it is always a pleasure to watch them grow.

I met this family downtown in Annapolis for a photo session recently.  Mom is a chef, and owner of Kerri Out Food in Severna Park, where she’s been open since 2005.  In addition to offering catering, they offer lunch- “kerri” out style of course- and have a Dinner Club.  What’s a Dinner Club you ask?  Well, that’s where you can have them prepare your evening meal whether it be for one night a week, the whole week, or anything in between.  How cool is that?  Someone else cooking your family’s meals using healthy, fresh, delicious ingredients?!

I met Kerri when she catered my husband’s retirement ceremony from the USMC in June.  My personal favorites are the toasted walnut chicken salad and the caprese tomato bites.  But everything is delicious! I had more guests walk up to me and ask me where I got the delicious food than my husband got congratulations!

So, now that I have talked myself into NEEDING some lunch, which will surely pale in comparison, I better move on to showing these shots of her gorgeous baby girl.  I just love some baby rolls and chubby cheeks!  Couldn’t she be the new Gerber baby?
