Of course you did!  School was cancelled and the sounds of children gleefully playing in the snow echoed in the streets.  I was reminded that shooting outside in the snow is a challenge and that gloves are definitely a hindrance to “getting the shot”, though also necessary to avoid getting something else- frostbite!

But I did manage to snap a few shots of the guys in the yard both with my professional gear and also with my handy point and shoot.  I’m committed to not missing moments with my boys despite my urge to capture them as perfectly as possible so the little fuji has come in very handy!  I love that it has a video feature too.

I hope everyone enjoyed the snowfall.  That actually sounds funny to say having grown up in Ohio, but snow is definitely a novelty here in Maryland!

Well, the opportunity will present itself later this spring when Pam Biasotti, San Francisco Bay Area Dog Photographer, will be traveling from California to the East Coast to offer up some special dog photo sessions!  Pam has been a great friend of mine for a number of years and I am so in awe of her dog photography.  She has such a unique eye when it comes to photographing dogs and it surely stems from her deep love of the furry little creatures.  When she said she was making an east coast trip, I told her what a dog-friendly town Annapolis is and that I’d bet there would be people lining up to get her to photograph their wonderful pets.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much as I enjoyed mine!  I’ve historically been very undisciplined when it came to “taking time off” and truly taking it OFF… but this year, I finally did it and I must say it felt fantastic!  I’m back and ready to take on 2009!
