I recently had the pleasure to photograph the newest member of this sweet family. I have photographed his big sister a couple of times and we had a nice time playing “kitchen” while the baby took feeding breaks. Dad and his whole family are big Pittsburgh Steelers fans so they brought out the gear to seal the deal and ensure that this little guy knows from the start which team he’ll be rooting for! He was truly a joy and a great little newborn model for me. It helps that he was just a week old and still very sleepy! I always try to photograph my newborns in the first two weeks so they are more sleepy and still like curling up for a snooze…

I was contacted by one of my album vendors last December about the possibility of using images from one of my newborn sessions in one of their 2012 tradeshow sample albums. Apparently each fall they sit down and talk about which albums they produced that might have images worthy of their samples. It’s certainly a huge compliment that they’d want to use my images considering the volume of albums they assemble in any given year. Of course, with the client’s permission, I said yes!
It was quite fun to get to go into their booth at Imaging in New Orleans and see my images in a sample album. My friend Kyle Bergner, who is a Baltimore wedding photographer (she also serves Annapolis, Washington DC and this region in general) took these pictures of me to share:

Some of you may have heard, my old blog was hacked several weeks back and in the process they got into my website as well. I’ve spent the better part of a month rebuilding, first the site, and now the blog. I’m excited to present the brand new blog!
Here you will find photos from recent sessions, information on upcoming events or specials including the always popular spring and holiday mini-sessions, as well as an occasional peek into my life. I hope you’ll check back often!
It is my hope that I will be able to eventually import all the years worth of posts from my old blog so they are still here in the archives. Cross you fingers for me!
